Welcoming Scranton

Welcoming Scranton is a block party style event that brings together long-term local residents and those new to the country to promote cross-cultural understanding and raise awareness of the benefits of welcoming everyone.
This event is held at the location of our South Side Farmers Market on Cedar Alder Street and Cedar Avenue. (The exact location is 526 Cedar Avenue).
There will be live music, a variety of international foods available from various small restaurants in Scranton, art activities, as well as our farmers market, that represent and celebrate the many communities that reside in Scranton.
This event is part of Welcoming America’s Welcoming Week and the theme of this year is “Where We Belong.”
