Welcoming Burien 2022

Our Welcoming Burien 2022 event coordinated in collaboration with Discover Burien will mark its second year of bringing our community together in Town Square Park as Burien participates in the national Welcoming Week. This year’s theme is Where We Belong. On Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., everyone is invited for a day of community connection, play, and celebration!

Visit the Meet Your Neighbors area which is a resource fair with a variety of community partners that provide programs and services for youth, families, immigrants, and refugees. Come Play with Us! The Highline Heritage Museum will offer an array of Multicultural Games from around the world, including a fun hour of Loteria. Burien Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services will also have a variety of games for kids and kids at heart can use. Enjoy the sights and sounds of dance performances and music to celebrate Cherished Traditions that reflect our community’s cultural heritage. Our #BurienFoodieParadise spans a variety of global cuisines you can enjoy at Burien eateries. Some highlights from small, local businesses will be there with offerings to quench your thirst and satisfy your taste buds.
