Tips and Tricks for Communicating Across a Language Barrier

Communication is key to building meaningful relationships, which is what Welcoming Week is all about! The English Skills Learning Center presents this workshop as an opportunity to learn some of the common pitfalls that arise when using English to communicate. Interpreters are not always available and electronic translation devices can be unreliable! Participants will leave with skills and strategies for simplifying English for everyday interactions to help create a more welcoming community for all.
