In collaboration with the UIUC YMCA, this StoryWalk will be a part of Welcoming Week. Through Welcoming Week, organizations and communities bring together neighbors of all backgrounds to build strong connections and affirm the importance of welcoming and inclusive places in achieving collective prosperity. This self-guided activity will be set up along the Timberdoodle Trail at Homer Lake Forest Preserve. The StoryWalk® concept is an innovative way for children and adults to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time.
