Mid-Autumn Festival at Doraville City Hall
The Doraville Celebration Committee invites you to the Mid Autumn Festival, a cultural exchange event to learn how to celebrate the Mid Autumn Festival, also known as Moon Festival or the Lantern Festival.
We will offer two identical sessions presented by:
- Ms. Jackie Chen, President of the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce, Gainesville, GA, and founding President of the Global Federation of Chinese Business Women – Atlanta Chapter (GFCBW-Atlanta)
- Nancy Dai from FASCA Atlanta (Formosa Association of Student Culture Ambassadors Atlanta)
Volunteers assistance from GFCBW-Atlanta, Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce Gainesville GA, Team Awesome, and FASCA Atlanta.
Each session will include background about the Mid Autumn Festival, the Lady on the Moon legend, and Moon Cake traditions, as well as three demonstrations: tea ceremony, traditional flower arraigning, and calligraphy. You will also have the opportunity to decorate your paper lanterns.
When: Tuesday, September 13, 2022
- Session One: 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
- Session Two: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
