Training: Moving From Individual and Small Group Welcoming to a Whole-of-Community Approach

A Training to Create a Resilient Welcoming Infrastructure Throughout Your Local Community

Welcoming America is excited to share a dynamic new online training resource for local welcomers across the country! In partnership with Refugee Welcome Collective, through funding by the U.S. Department of State, Welcoming America has developed a new self-paced training to support the work of people engaged in or considering participating in refugee community sponsorship and for people who want to move their local immigrant inclusion and belonging efforts from individual or small group welcoming to a whole-of-community approach.

Through this training, individuals and sponsor groups will build upon their experience participating in community sponsorship and other efforts supporting the welcoming of immigrants in their community. Bolstered by the framework of the Welcoming Standard, participants will learn how to utilize a whole-of-community approach in order to deepen and expand local welcoming work to create a resilient welcoming infrastructure throughout your local community.
