Community Sponsorship: Moving from Individual or Small Group Welcoming to a Whole-of-Community Approach

As a result of this webinar, you’ll learn about our exciting new self-paced training and have the chance to hear from representatives from Refugee Welcome Collective, Welcoming America, and Hearts & Homes for Refugees – a Welcoming Network member organization with expertise in community sponsorship and creating a local welcoming infrastructure.

In partnership with Refugee Welcome Collective, Welcoming America has developed this online training to support the work of people engaged in or considering participating in refugee community sponsorship. Through this training, individuals and sponsor groups will build upon their experience participating in co-sponsorship and other efforts supporting the welcoming of immigrants in their community. Bolstered by the framework of the Welcoming Standard, you will learn how to utilize a whole-of-community approach in order to deepen and expand local welcoming work.
