With a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences from Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM) and a master’s degree in Latin American studies from UNC Charlotte, Sorayda has dedicated herself to amplifying marginalized voices and fostering understanding across cultures. Over the past decade, she has worked in the nonprofit sector, striving to create spaces where everyone feels valued and heard.
Sorayda’s love for storytelling motivated her to create a digital cultural magazine, VozEs Expresion Cultural, in which she shares narratives that celebrate diversity and promote empathy towards the immigrant community. Through VozEs she remains committed to building a more inclusive and compassionate society, one story at a time.
She lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her son, husband, and dog.
