Feyisola Akintola

Feyisola Akintola is a foodie, a creative, an active community member, and the Special Initiatives Manager for Mayor William Peduto of Pittsburgh, PA.

Born in Nigeria, Feyi and her family immigrated to Stone Mountain, GA in 1999. She grew up loving science and culture. As the eldest of six children, understood the value of community leadership from a young age.

As the Special Initiatives Manager for Mayor William Peduto, she runs the Welcoming Pittsburgh Initiative and inclusion programs for immigrants, refugees, and internationals. She is also the program manager for Pittsburgh’s sister cities and the city’s lead in the 2020 U.S. Census effort. She is on the board of Sister Cities Association of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience (PULSE), a middle school mentor for the United Way, and was part of the Inclines 2019 Who’s Next: Politics class.

As a Nigerian American, Feyi strongly values international collaboration and is always excited to learn how to build bridges across cultures.
Feyi holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of West Georgia, a dual master’s degree in business administration and sustainability from Chatham University, and a Women in Leadership certificate from Coro Pittsburgh.
