Briana L. Broberg

Briana L. Broberg, Esq. is a Regional Manager for Welcoming America. She provides technical assistance to members throughout the Midwest, supporting communities’ efforts to deepen their welcoming work through equitable and inclusive policies and programming. Being from a small town in Minnesota that has experienced significant demographic shifts, Briana understands the power of creating substantive, necessary change through the alignment of the public policy priorities of the local government, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, businesses, and individuals in order to build and maintain communities that are truly welcoming.

Prior to joining Welcoming America, Briana completed a Research Fellowship with the Migration Policy Institute, with research focused on issues related to immigrants’ access to benefits and the unique challenges and opportunities faced by immigrant residents of rural and suburban areas of the United States. Briana was also a Rappaport Public Policy Fellow with the Boston Mayor’s Office for Immigrant Advancement where she drafted communications; developed a model for the office’s approach to participatory budgeting; and researched and proposed initiatives that advanced immigrant inclusion and strengthened support for local immigrant communities.

Briana holds a J.D. from New England Law | Boston where she specialized in immigration law and policy. Briana is currently based in St. Paul, Minnesota.
