Welcoming Week Sioux Falls 2021 — Bystander to Upstander Intervention Training with South Dakota League of Women Voters

What can a person do when they hear or observe another person being treated with disrespect, and even potential violence? Every one of us encounters acts of discrimination, hate, and bigotry. We cannot be Bystanders to these kinds of incidents. The Bystander to Upstander Intervention training is a 60-minute introduction to ways to respond to these kinds of unfortunate incidents that concerned bystanders need to know how to respond in safe and impactful ways, whether that is in the workplace, a public space or in their own home. SD Voices for Peace is pleased to join with the South Dakota League of Women Voters to support efforts to make sure we in South Dakota do what we can to support national Welcoming Week 2021 and the idea that #BelongingBeginsWithUs.
