Did you know the Nashville Parthenon has a permanent art collection of paintings? The James M. Cowan Collection of American Art is known as one of the finest American art collections in the mid-south– and it’s a hidden gem of Nashville! Visit the museum between 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM and stop by the Art Cart for an extra special Welcoming Week Art Cart program with a museum expert who will share all about the Cowan Collection artists and help you explore the fascinating works of art.

Art Cart: Cowan Challenge

Take the Cowan Challenge to get up close with paintings to discover their details! This program takes place in the Gallery Lobby. Open to visitors of all ages. Participation is included with museum admission ($10 adults, $8 seniors & children 4-17).
