Walk A Mile in my Shoes: A Refugee Camp Simulation

This 3-hour simulation is designed to help participants begin to understand what it might be like to be a refugee family fleeing their country, finding refuge in a foreign territory, and forced to manage the complexities of being a vulnerable population. The purpose of
the simulation is to sensitize participants to the realities faced by migrants and to inspire compassionate and wise actions in creating welcoming communities. As part of Louisville’s Welcoming Month celebration, this simulation will be offered to Louisville Metro government employees on either September 16 or 17 from 9 am to 12 pm.
